In 2024 we continued to grow and innovate
As we step into 2025, it’s a great opportunity to look back on the successes of 2024. This past year was marked by growth, innovation, and forward momentum. We take pride in the challenges we’ve overcome and the key milestones we’ve reached.
•We have processed over 1.2 Bn payment transactions, marking a 30% increase compared to 2024. This achievement contributes to the total of more than 11 billion transactions processed by SIBS Group globally.
•Our innovative POS Sharing Solution has seen a significant growth with the enrollment of a major gas station chain and 2 new major retail Partners, thus reaching a total of 11 big retailers and 10 banks participating in this project in Romania. Over 8700 terminals have also been enrolled for the existing Partners, offering the end customers a more seamless check-out process.
•We continued to implement solutions for Google Pay and Apple Pay, thereby enhancing end-users experience with a fast, secure, and efficient digital payment platform, increase customer loyalty, and attract new user segments.
•Soft POS by SIBS continued its expansion reaching 7 enrolled Partners in Romania and 3 abroad. We also successfully implemented together with a top 3 Romanian bank the Soft POS/Tap to Phone Visa application for Romanian postal offices, equipping postal workers across Romania with 7,000 mobile PDA terminals, enabling them to accept card payments directly from customers. This initiative simplifies payment processes, making them more accessible, even in rural or less-developed areas of the country, and further supports the ongoing digital transformation of Romania’s postal services.
•We successfully implemented the Fraud Module Paywatch for an additional Romanian bank, delivering enhanced security solutions that protect the bank’s customers across both online and physical transactions. This cutting-edge solution, trusted already by 2 Romanian banking Partners, not only strengthens the banks’ security infrastructure but also helps build customer trust and satisfaction.
•A new implemented acquiring bank has been successfully integrated by SIBS, enhancing the bank’s ability to offer secure and efficient payment processing solutions. This implementation strengthens the bank’s operational capabilities, as well as provides future merchants with a comprehensive suite of payment solutions, empowering them to easily accept and manage transactions across various platforms.
•We successfully implemented the 10th issuing bank in SIBS portfolio, through an API-based solution, offering complete services from processing to e-commerce authentication and card personalization. This strategic implementation enables the bank to offer tailored credit card solutions to a targeted customer base, enhancing its competitive position in the Romanian financial market and providing personalized financial products that meet the needs of this specific segment.
•We personalized over 1.5M banking and loyalty cards for + 100 banking and retail partners.
•We grew the national footprint of our ATM shared network, Multibanco . With nearly 250 terminals installed, double vs.2023, we now cover nearly 80% of Romania’s territory.
•Our in-house contact center handled over 380,000 interactions (+10% vs. 2022), offering 24/7 bilingual support to partners and their customers. In order to enhance the services we provide to our clients, we successfully opened a new collaboration with Daktela, a leading provider of cloud-based communication solutions, and implemented scalable communication solutions that have optimized workflows and improved operational processes in our in-house contact center
